VALUED is an initiative under the charity Comfort Rwanda which was established in 1999 in response to the needs of survivors of the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Comfort Rwanda is now expanding to work in neighbouring DRC through Comfort Congo, of which VALUED is a key project. The aim of VALUED is to target specific needs of women in the developing world and to mobilise local groups in the West to respond and act.
